Finally!

Now I have some spare time, I can start updating this shit with some US pics. Some limo treatment..

We bailed from the hotel as soon as we got there and did the touro stuff down in Hollywood

There was a crazy ass chick yelling at everyone to stay away from MJ's star on the blvd
Hollywood Hills looking down over L.A.
That's Hollywood at the front, downtown L.A. in the distance - where we stayed.
Our tour guide - dude looked like Dr Phil.
I skipped a heap of pics here - just of Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills and shit. We walked from Venice Beach to Santa Monica, in the background.
The Santa Monica triple set. Good time to add in P-Rod's Nike ad. Switch 360 flip? Damn. Click on the pic to watch.

Santa Monica Pier.Long walk out to the water. Dudes got more sand than Egypt.
The hotel carpark.
The view from the suite at the Staples Centre
Could almost reach out and spin the wheels
Drunk ass pic with Joey Brezinski. I gave him shit almost the whole night and the dude was still cool.
This is what we got on the first day. Every afternoon, you'd come back to a bag full of Monster drinks and Asahi cans
The corporate box at the Home Depot centre. Rally / moto x track right in front of us. It was fuckin hot this day.
Rally Car jumpin'

I'm skipping out the party pics because most of them are messy. This is what my wrist looked like after 4 days solid. Seems we needed a wristband for everything.
I was stoked to get to San Fran for a few days after burning out at the X Games. Thanks DC for the experience.
The view up the hill outside my hotel.
Possibly the skateboard worlds most famous tiles.
China Banks - never knew it was a bridge.

The Pier
Seals just chillin' at Fishermans Wharf
Krooked ass Lombard Street.
Drove down to Santa Cruz for a day and looked around NHS. Paul is the best tour guide. Cheers mate.
Had 2 quick rolls on the ol' girl - Derby Park. The walls are like concrete cellulite.
Had organised with Eric Dressen to get a screaming hand tattoo on my last day back in L.A. Dude drove out to my hotel, picked me up, gave me the tatt, had some grub, then drove me round showing me all the old spots. Fucking ruler.
Inking up my leg. Man, it hurt the most out of all my tattoos.

Almost done. It took hours because we were talking so much shit. (mainly me asking skating questions)

Last of all, no trip to the States is complete without some Mexican food and beer.

Dressen Interview

Ahh yeah, I forgot to mention, I've lined up an interview with Eric D for the www.skateboard.com.au

If you have any questions, post them up here. But I'll be doing that shit in the next couple of days, so don't sleep.

That's my hairy ass leg he's scribbling on right there.

Catch up

Shit man, back to life, back to reality...Straight back into the mix of things at work for me. Photos of the last couple of weeks are starting to appear in my inbox - mostly messy. I'll start with the easy stuff - this pic was from 1 nights worth or partying at the hotel. There seemed to be a wristband for every couple of hours. No complaints here though - most of the time those gems accounted for free alcohol and food. Amongst other things, dudes would drop of bags of Asahi and Monster energy drink in your room every day while you were out. We're talking litre cans of beer too.

Home

Two things I learnt real quick while I was in the States -
1. Working pay phones are almost impossible to find. When I was in SF I had to go to the subway to find a phone.
2. Internet cafes are a thing of the past. Almost everywhere offers free wifi, but there always a catch.

Hence the reason this blog was never updated. Now I'm back, I'll get down to re-telling some of the stories. Before I go into anymore details on what went down, I decided to make a "good dudes" and "dicks" list for the people I met while I was away. I'll start with the good dudes.

Good dudes, in no particular order;

All the DC crew for getting me out there - Jake, Cherice, Ben, James
Eric Dressen - no radder person out there than this guy.
Paul Merrell - Best Santa Cruz tour guide
Andrew Mecum from DLX
Felix Arguelles
Daniel Castillo
Joey Brezinski (or "manny mania" as I kept yelling out because I was too drunk)
The family from Santa Cruz who took me to dinner in SF
Lenny, the burger guy at the X Games
Jeff Kendall
Novak - funny guy
Wingnut
FTC guys for showing me the spots
Ron Whaley
Troy and Col from Element
YCH crew
and surprisingly, Mary Murphy makes the cut.

Dicks list;

Colin McKay
Danny Sargeant
The dude who showed me his gun
The guy complaining who sat in front of me on the plane.

More to come.

Slacker

So I know everyones been hating on me for not updating this thing....

3 reasons;

1. I have no laptop, and there's no net cafe nearby. (I'm in Downtown L.A. there's nothing going on the weekends here)

2. I can't update from my IPhone.

3. I have been too busy going out every day and every night.

So get over it. I fly to SF tomorrow so I'll get down to posting pics then. The short of it, basically have been at the XGames every night, went to the Fantasy Factory for a party, met loads of crew, and am going to the Berrics on Friday with Felix. (I'll call you Thursday man)

Everyone else, be patient, I'm still hungover.

Love you Kristy!!

Danny Way

So 2 full days of work to go and I just read online that Danny Way won't be competing in the Big Air event this year. I was kinda bummed when I first read it, but then after further reading, realised he's still going to compete in the Rail Jam. Honestly I don't blame the guy for not competing - I mean he's done just about everything possible, and some other shit like this which in my opinion, the average dude wouldn't have walked away from. There's a good article on the X Games site which gives you the lowdown.

Here's hoping that some good shit goes down, minus the bad shit.

9 Days

As most of you know (from my constant countdowns and taunts) I am off to the States for the X Games in 9 days. This will be the place I will post photos, comments, happenings etc. I will endeavor to update everyday, but it could be difficult. Let the fun begin.
